Ayurveda identifies human being as a microcosm (small universe) that is part of macrocosm. The universe as well as human being is made of five elements. The rhythm of life is intimately connected with the rhythm of nature. When human body is perfectly in tune with the nature, body, mind and spirit would be in perfect health resulting in uninterrupted flow of creative energy.

This ensures a long and harmonious life enjoying the pleasures of life.Physical diseases are due to improper eating, ignoring the cycles of seasons or our age. Human body can heal itself, if this is corrected. Ayurveda helps to establish perfect balance between inner and out world with the help of herbal medicine. Ayurvedic health care system lays much emphasis on body constitution of the individual. The first step is to find out the body constitution through careful examination. Food habits, medicines, treatment etc, has to be decided according to body constitution. "Tridoshas" (three energies) concept is the corner stone of Ayurvedic health care. Body constitution is decided by "Tridoshas".

Ayurveda identifies Vata (air, the moving energy), Pitta (fire, the digestive energy), Kapha (the energy that protect the sensitive tissues with mucus) as the three vital energies, the balance of which results in perfect health. The combination of these energies varies in every human being, and that determines the body constitution. All Ayurvedic herbal medicines and treatments are intended to maintain a perfect balance between these three energies. Through five millenniums Ayurveda has perfected this science and the vast body of knowledge created a health care system, that gives its practitioners an edge no other system can claim. They systematically analyzed thousands of herbs and recorded the healing effects of various combinations of formulations on human bodies.

The specialty of Ayurvedic treatment is that it can be taken both by healthy people, and also by those suffering from diseases. Healthy people are given " Sukha Chikitsa" or treatment for well-being, which improves the resistance, and prevents illness. For people with diseases, specific treatments relevant to their conditions are given.
